Dr. Greg Frokjer has special expertise in facial trauma, facial reconstruction and temporal mandibular joint surgery. He received his college education from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. He has earned great honors for his performances such as Freshman Honors, Sophomore Silver “R” and NAIA Athletic-Scholastic All American. He completed his dental education from the University of Iowa – Doctor of Dental Surgery. His honors include Most Outstanding Graduate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Collegiate Committee on Pharmacy and Therapeutics and Captain All-University Championship Volleyball Team.
Dr. Greg Frokjer is a member of several professional organizations such as American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow- American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has a long and successful practice with over 80,000 patients treated. He examined 60-70 patients and performed 15-20 surgeries on a daily basis. In his career, he has done over 2,000 major hospital cases and has also administered more than 50,000 general or IV anesthetics. His honors and achievements include Presidents Club – University of North Dakota; President – North Dakota Northeast District Dental Society; Chairman – North Dakota Council on Pharmacy and Therapeutics and Clinic Instructor at the University of North Dakota, College of Medicine.
Dr. Frokjer has several personal interests as well. He is a commercial pilot and an experienced open water ocean free diver. He personally operates an excavation business (Frokjer Excavating and Construction) and has a Class A CDL with a perfect driving record. He has personally built a log cabin in the remote bush of Northern Manitoba and an eight sided hurricane resistant house in the Bahamas. He does remote horseback pack trips in the western states of Montana, Colorado, Idaho. From 1996-2003, he raced late model dirt track cars and was the President of Northern Late Model Racing Association.
Dr. Greg Frokjer has donated large sums of money to various community projects such as the Community Violence Intervention Center in Grand Forks and the Empire Theater of Arts in Grand Forks. He also did free volunteer surgery for the Grand Forks Mission for homeless. |
